Story - Successful Trotline

On one of our night fishing trips we decided to set out a trotline. We had a 50' rope with 25 hooks spaced 2' apart. The water was high so we strung it up between two trees in the back of a cove in about 10' of water. The bait was a alternating liver and leftover shad that was frozen from a previous fishing trip. We ended up catching 3 or 4 and one got off as we were getting the line out. We set out a few yo-yos too, but they all came up empty. We only did this once, but need to do it every time to have an extra 25 hooks in the water while we are tied up night fishing.

The biggest one we caught that night.
